"Martin Sasse und Paul Heller - Brüder im musikalischen Geiste"
Personal highlight on the album is the straight eight track “United”.
This track see’s both tenor players stretching their reach stylistically
while pianist Martin Sasse lays down a superbly crafted solo featuring
some impressive left hand comping. — Jazzineurope.nl

Martin Sasse & Paul Heller
Two Generations Quartett
Martin Sasse — Piano
Paul Heller — Tenor Saxophon
Caris Hermes — Bass
Niklas Walter — Drums
The future of jazz is safe! This ultra-modern project is the result of a longtime, congenial musical partnership: Paul Heller, saxophonist of the WDR Big Band, and the internationally acclaimed Cologne pianist Martin Sasse have known and appreciated each other for many years. Again and again they have stood on stage together for various different projects. Together with Caris Hermes on the double bass and Niklas Walter on drums - two outstanding representatives of the young German jazz scene - this formation becomes the cross-generational TWO GENERATIONS QUARTET.
