The great Dizzy Gillespie said about Silvia Droste: "Wow, girl! You can sing the blues!" And indeed: her great and strong alto voice goes directly under the skin, where music always has the best effect. Droste, a long-time ZDF anchorwoman of the ZDF Jazzclub, has worked with numerous well-known jazz musicians, but she only trusts the internationally renowned Cologne pianist Martin Sasse blindly after innumerable concerts: "He knows exactly when he can let me go and when he has to pick me up," is the way she describes their collaboration. A perfect well-functioning duo, which inspires with its power, reliability and fine nuances.
